As we travel through life, we all make a journey. Along the way our lives intersect with others. Sometimes there is a resonance, other times we may feel triggered, and more rarely indifference. What ever the reaction might be each moment of being together allows us to create something ... What will we create ?
Early in the pandemic lockdowns and restrictions from travel left many people, unable to connect and be with their loved ones in a way we once did. Today the increasing costs and chaos with travel still makes it challenging. This creates hardship as love and connection is so needed. How can we stay connected and hopeful ? While nothing replaces in person contact it is true that today we are fortunate to have so many different on line platforms to connect with each other.
As we move into a hybrid world we can create meet ups with like minded people and focus our attention on the world we want to create. A place to share our hopes, joys and sorrows. One of the most empowering things I experienced was focusing my attention beyond the reality I faced to the reality I wanted to create.
When I connected with others our meet-ups became a refuge for us to find peace and ease in a world which was constantly changing. The results were amazing too. Our efforts and our results became teachers to us. We grew together as a community a wisdom of embracing an all inclusive approach to find solutions with greater ease. I soon started combining my "Heart of Gaia" style meditations with community sharing and learning.
It turned into a fusion that connected us with Gaia herself, as I lead the group each week a beautiful system evolved naturally where we let go our ego minds, connect with our more timeless nature, detach our attention away from the problem, and direct it towards the reality and experience of that which we wanted to see happen. The method evolves and continues to evolve. We continued to have new group members and a second circle has just opened up.
You can create groups too. I recommend a group size of 8-10. If the group exceeds this size it is time perhaps to start a new group. Or at the time you meet, break out into smaller groups which are lead by different members within a larger group. You could check in with each other and create mini meditations that uplift one another.
The style in which I lead a group now is a constant evolution and it honours always the journey and needs of the individuals in it. No group will ever be identical and the open style allows people to grow. Sessions have a rough format; however sometimes I abandon this to meet the needs of members and the needs of our times. My rough format would be
Introduction and sharing: 10 minutes
Building the list of intentions: 10 minutes
Guided meditation and healing circle: 30 minutes
Sharing and Closing: 10 minutes.

How can I explain the connection and potential of a Healing Circle?
Perhaps this analogy works well.
We are like a drop, which grows and connects with many drops. We flow through life changing direction like a river until we reach the ocean. Every drop is a part of the waters of our Earth. Similarly we are interconnected with all of life.
When we think of the ocean our daily life is like the variable surface of the sea. Sometimes calm, sometimes at peace. "Deep Diving" into the stillness of the deep ocean we can find a more abundant resource to sustain us as we ride the waves that occur on the surface.

This guided meditation is created with my own composition Journey Home. A piece I composed and played on the piano to honour Earth Day 2020.
