I studied medicine at Imperial College School of Medicine, London, and the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Following my years as a junior doctor I completed Radiology Residency in London. I specialised in breast and cancer imaging by pursuing a fellowship at King’s College Hospital in London. I was a scholar and fellow of the European School of Radiology at the Medical University of Vienna, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital, NYC respectively. Post fellowships, I completed a PhD in Molecular Imaging at the University of Cambridge, during this time I also worked as an Honorary Radiology Consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. In 2018 I was appointed as a Radiology Consultant at University College Hospital in London. In 2019 I commenced an MRC fellowship enabling me to be a physician scientist at UCL/UCH. After three memorable years, I said good bye to UCH/UCL and begin a new chapter. I have answered the call of my Soul and found the courage to follow through. I now share insights from this phase in life.
For generations my family embraced living with authenticity in harmony with the Earth. My family inheritance of Ayurveda, yoga, mindfulness, and ancient wisdom traditions helped me to understand that a complete medicine encompasses our physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual bodies. At this significant time in human history the value of integrating ancient wisdom with cutting edge science, and technology to improve health and well-being is increasingly important. Seeing the impact of COVID 19 on our Earth, I first created a project on Facebook to help those suffering from cancer, ill-health, loneliness, and isolation. It was a small seed in an ocean of need. Yet, it was a seed which grew reaching over a thousand people world wide. It was nurtured by those who united in hope. This inspired me to create Dr Oshi Infinite Potential. I am a certified Heart Math trainer and Breathwork instructor combining ancient techniques with modern day tools to awaken human potential and lead with integrated heart and mind.
I am also an artist. I started playing music at the age of four. And completed Grade 8 exams in my early teens. Since then I have played semi-professionally. A few years ago I embraced composition and now create my own music. Encouraged by a bedroom which was more like a mini studio I started painting and writing as a child. My efforts migrated from the kitchen fridge, to magazines and walls of those I loved. Much to the annoyance of my grandfather I took apart his camera to figure out how it made a picture. This fascination with the opportunity to capture the world through ones eyes lead to life long passion of photography. More recently the creative opportunities online turned me into a digital artist. Last but not least, thanks to being my Aunts little sous- chef growing up, I learnt culinary skills that came handy in college. As I travelled the world as a young adult I became fascinated by spices and the stories they tell. During lock down I fulfilled my life long dream of creating a true fusion kitchen and had a chance to learn how the food we eat can be both enjoyable and nourish us back to health.
Dear Reader, I believe that life and medicine are a science and an art.
To be complete we must respect, investigate and understand the world around us. Understand ourselves and learn to navigate the terrain that lies ahead of us. I bring to you my life's experiences, knowledge and love; to help you embrace your best life, access your own wisdom to help you create a plan to support your needs.
Sound and vibrations have been part of our culture across the millennia. I encourage you to listen to music that nourishes your soul. Please.....never say you don't have time. I composed and played this piece in honour of Earth Day 2020.
